Officer Tsouras got out of his patrol car to survey the area for a suspect. In the process, then Tsouras saw a man trying to get into the car wash office.
Tsouras shot the innocent man twice, once in the arm and once in the leg.
However, after a full review of the incident, the DA’s office could not conclude the use of deadly force was “justified.”
If prosecutors don’t know if it was justified, that is why we have courts. Let a jury decide if it was justified and file reckless endangerment charges and go from there. Because that’s exactly what would happen if anyone but a cop shot an innocent person.
I hope that the victim wins a massive, precedent setting civil lawsuit. Costing the taxpayers millions as this is the only likely way we will ever see fundamental change in the way we are policed….
I’m glad the victim lived and recovered.
